About Us

Our Beginnings
In September 2004, Monte and Matt Brotherton, along with business partner Wendell Holmes, purchased Murry Funeral Home in Paris, Arkansas. The Brothertons had worked previously for over 20 years combined at a funeral home in Charleston, Arkansas, which had recently been purchased by an insurance company in Hot Springs. The Brothertons and Mr. Holmes then decided to build a new, state-of-the-art funeral home in Charleston, which opened in June 2006. Our completely re-modeled and brand new 250 seat chapel in Paris is now finished and open. The Brothertons feel that funeral homes should be owned and operated by local people, not a group of stockholders. They are honored to be your funeral directors, and take great pride in their work, treating every family as if it were their own. Thanks for choosing Brotherton Brothers' as your funeral home.
