Obituary

Zong Chue Yang of Branch, Arkansas, died Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on April 4, 1956, in Laos, to the late Ntsuab Nuam Yang and Vue Xiong. He was 69 years old.

Zong was a retired butcher for Shady Maple Farmer's Market in Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Special Forces In Laos during the Vietnam War, and he was of the Christian faith.

Funeral services will be held starting Saturday, December 13th, Sunday, December 14th, and Monday, December 15th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris. Graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 15th at Baxley Cemetery in Paris, Arkansas, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Yee (Thao) Yang; six sons, Wa Neng Yang of New Blaine, Arkansas, Pheng Yang of Kutztown, Pennsylvania, Philip Yang of Denver, Pennsylvania, Nathan Yang of Paris, Arkansas, Joseph Yang of Newton, North Carolina, and Jason Yang of Branch, Arkansas; four daughters, Seang Lee of Newton, North Carolina, Amy Yang of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Chia Rivera of Dardanelle, Arkansas, and Yeng Yang of Bonnerdale, Arkansas; six brothers, Chia Pao Yang, Sai Thao Yang, Cha Yang, Eng Yang, Ger Yang, and Chia Yang; five sisters, Ntxawm Yang, Mai Yeng Yang, Blia Yeng Yang, Mee Yang, and Ntsov Yang; three son-in-laws, Nou Lee, Tsuefeng Moua, and Ricardo Rivera; four daughter-in-laws, Andrea Yang, Katlyn Thomas, Hollie Yang, and Ruthie Yang; and (30) grandchildren.
