Zena Bowman, 65 of Midway, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at her home after a fifteen year battle with breast cancer. She was born August 18, 1950, in Paris, Arkansas to her parents, Earl J. and Sallie Vaughn Nast. Zena was a homemaker and a retired chicken and cattle farmer of over 30 years. She was active in the Mercy Paris Auxillary, Community Outreach Services, and Town and Country Garden Club. She loved nothing more than spending time with her sons and cherished grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl J. and Sallie Vaughn Nast; her husband of 20 years, Jerry L. Bowman; and brother, Steven Nast.

She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind, including long-time companion, Sam DeLisle; her three sons, Michael Bowman and wife Joyce (Newman) of Midway, Roger Bowman and wife Crystal (Morris) of Munford, TN, and Ronny Bowman and wife Ramona (Sharum) of Misawa Air Base, Japan; and nine grandchildren, Ryan, Sidney, Alex, Grant, Emma, Cecilia, Mattie, Joshua, and Keaton. She is survived as well by three sisters, Ruth Ann Sims and husband Morris, Linda Sue Hamilton, and Diane Needham, all of Paris; and two brothers, Earl J. Nast Jr. and wife Nancy of Niceville, FL and John Nast and wife Jeannie of Greenwood.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday, April 17th, at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, April 18th, at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, officiated by Rev. Ricky White, followed by burial at Horne Cemetery in Midway.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
