Woody Green resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in his home. He was born July 24, 1942 in Charleston to the late Jim Wood Green and Ellen Loraine (Butler) Green. He was 68 years old.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Green & Toad Green; twin infant sister, Wanda Green & infant sister, Wilma Green.

Woody was a retired meter reader for the City of Fort Smith, a 1960 graduate of Lavaca High School, and member of the Lavaca First Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 28th at the Lavaca First Baptist Church, with Rev. Tony Buchanan, Rev. Chris Niblett, and Rev. Danny Green officiating. Interment will be at Lavaca City Cemetery in Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife, Judy of the home; one daughter, Danna Glidewell & husband Daniel of Lavaca; one son, Davin Green & fiancee Brandi Smothers of Lavaca; one sister, Frue Tate of Lavaca; six brothers, Jake Green, Wayne Green, Donnie Green, Mac Green, George Green, and Randy Green, all of Lavaca; two grandchildren, Abby & Kolby Glidewell.

Pallbearers will be Levi, Caleb, Brandon, Eddie, Cory and Justin Green.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Rayburn Green, Richard Green, Jack James, Mel Bridges, Ray Hill, James Patterson, Buddy Smithson, Travis Balch, Sonny Charboneau, Vertice Watkins, and Danny Cross.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night at the Lavaca First Baptist Church.
