Obituary

Woodrow Harland "Woody" Pennington of Paris, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Booneville Community Hospital. He was born March 5, 1923 in Ozark to the late Harry Pennington and Cora B. (Hill) Pennington. He was 88 years old.

Woody was a retired coal miner, a Army veteran of WWII, and member of the Charleston VFW.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6th at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Vondal Davenport.

He is survived by his wife, Lorene Pennington of the home; one daughter, Sharon Kay Sandburg of Orlando, Florida; one sister, Patsy Lee of Caulksville; one grandchild and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Junior Carter, Art Carter, Gerald Melton, Goldie Goldsworthy, Adolf Forst, and Jim Mikles.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
