W.L. "Dubby" Riley of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. He was born on May 31, 1944, in Charter Oak, Missouri. He was 79 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Roy Riley and Julie (Shipp) Riley; a son, Dubby Allen Riley; and two brothers, JD Riley and William Riley.

W.L. worked in maintenance for the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and he was an avid Razorback fan.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Riley; one daughter, Rebecca Irby and husband Curtis of Joplin, Missouri; one son, Christopher Roy Riley and wife Ellie of Peru, Indiana; four sisters, Dessie Faught, Goldie Priddy, Shirley Kilpatrick and Aline Jefferson; four brothers, Cecil Riley, Jamie Riley, LeRoy Riley and Joe Riley; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
