Obituary

William Edward "Willie" Gattis, who resided near Scranton, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018, at his home. He was born January 26, 1962, in Paris, Arkansas to the late Roy D. Gattis and Ruby Jewell (Lowery) Gattis. He was 56 years old. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Irba Thompson, Larry Gattis, Jimmy Gattis, Mike Gattis and Debra Gattis.

Willie had worked in construction before becoming disabled. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by three daughters, Tristan Gattis and husband Benjamin of Burleson, Texas, McKendalyn Martines and Kendri'Anna Martines, both of Subiaco; three sons, Nathan Gattis and wife Amber of Venus, Texas, Tyler Gattis and wife Lindsay of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Race Taylor of Paris; four sisters, Carolyn Wewer, Judy Wewer and husband Bob, Brenda Ahne and husband Bill, and Tammy Baumgartner and husband Rich Mathews, all of Scranton; three brothers, Harlan Gattis and wife Janice of Paris, Ray Gattis and wife Kathy of Wichita, Kansas, and John Gattis and wife Sue Haynes of Scranton; seven grandchildren.

An updated obituary with memorial service time and dates will be posted very soon. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
