William Edger "Ed" Williams, who resided in Ratcliff, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith. He was born February 19, 1941 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to the late William Burton Williams and Myrtle Estell (Nordman) Williams. He was 71 years old.
Ed worked for High Line Company in New Orleans, served in the U.S. Navy and was of the Methodist faith.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial of cremains (with military honors) will be at Berkley Cemetery in Cecil, under the directon of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years,Gwendolyn (Marshall) Williams; five sisters, Carroll Cole of Abita Springs, Louisiana, Reba Honeysuckle of Oklahoma City, Cassie Roberts of Harrah, Oklahoma, Linda Argomaniz of Coalinga, California, and Paula Carter of Lemoore, California; two brothers, Roy Dean Williams of Clovis, California and Earl Williams of Metarie, Louisiana; several nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
