William Gerald Shipmon of Mountainburg, Arkansas, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on December 29, 1954, in Van Buren, Arkansas, to the late William D. Fitzgerald and Fannie Mae Stewart. He was 69 years old.

William was a member of Highway to Heaven Pentecostal Church.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21st at Highway to Heaven Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cathy (Nichols) Shipmon; his children, Elizabeth, Willie, Joshua, and Daniel; two step-daughters, Tammy Hobson and Elizabeth Miller; five sisters, Betty Jo, Wanda, Brenda, Carolyn, and Phyllis; a brother, Wade Snell; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
