William Franklin "Willie" McGee, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016, in Greenwood, Arkansas. He was born August 6, 1974 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Billy Kenneth McGee and Susie (Phelan) McGee. He was 41 years old. Willie was preceded in death by his father, Billy Kenneth McGee; two brothers, Christopher Earl McGee and Matt McGee; and one grandson, Christian Miller.
Willie was a farmer and he loved to hunt.
Graveside service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20th, at Lowes Creek Cemetery, located north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
Officiating the service will be the Rev. Jim Barnes.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy (Rye) McGee; one son, Elijah Rogers McGee, of the home; three step-daughters, Candice Morgan of Van Buren, Kelly Johnson of Fort Smith, and Melissa Herbert of Van Buren; his mother, Susie McGee of Charleston; seven sisters, Susan Waterbury of Lavaca, Pam McKinnon of Delight, Arkansas, Deleena McGee of Charleston, Carrie Shaddon of Marshall, Arkansas, Jessie Turner of Ozark, Lisa Harless and husband Drew of Paden, Oklahoma, and Rebecca McGee of California; three brothers, Kenneth McGee of Charleston, Robert Swilling of Alma, and Jeff Dawson of Eufala, Oklahoma; (11) grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
