Obituary

William "Bill" Henry DeLisle, who resided in Paris, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019, in Fort Smith. He was born August 1, 1935, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late George DeLisle and Lillian (King) DeLisle. He was 83 years old. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Sam, George, and Albert DeLisle; a step-daughter, Lorna Post; a brother-in-law, Jack Wright; a granddaughter, Heather Moore; and a son-in-law, Ronnie Walker.

Bill was a retired truck driver for River Valley Animal Foods near Morrison Bluff, an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Lighthouse Worship Center in Paris.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 20th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Pastor Steve Shipley officiating. Burial will be at Corley Cemetery, located south of Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Clara (Nixon) DeLisle; three daughters, Suzanne Moore and husband Jerry, Tara DeLisle and Therisa Hilkert and husband Tom; three sons, Paul DeLisle and wife Kathy, Bill Root and wife Barbara and Jimmy Root; his step-children, Linda Varnell, Marquetta Walker, Beverly Fox and husband Jackie, and Eddie Varnell and wife Kim; a sister, Alice Wright; a son-in-law, William Post; (54) grandchildren, (28) great-grandchildren, and (5) great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Eddie Varnell, Gary Varnell, John Hall, Paul Akin, Stanley Sharp, and Nick Todd.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
