William Garland "Bill" Davis, who resided near Lavaca, Arkansas, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born January 21, 1963, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late James L. Davis and Bamma L. Ruth Davis. He was 58 years old. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy; and a niece, Lacey.
Bill was a surveyor. He worked several years for numerous companies, including Blake Construction at Chaffee, Harris Construction in Fort Smith, and TNT in Alma. Bill served as church treasurer and member of Union Baptist Church, located northeast of Lavaca.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 4th, at Tate Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kyle Horton.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Alice Garner Davis; a son, Cory Davis of Lavaca; three brothers, James Davis and wife Mia of South Korea, Ron Davis and wife Estelle of Alma, and Don Davis and wife Rose of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a great-niece, Jamie Davis of Alma.
Pallbearers are Cory Davis, Ron Davis, Don Davis, Jerry Walker, and Tommy Dewey.
Public viewing will begin on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
