Obituary

William E. "Bill"Sugg, who resided in Fort Smith, died Thursday, April 22, 2021, in Fort Smith. He was born June 24, 1934, in Dardanelle, Arkansas, to the late Greer Sugg and Vera (Blevins) Sugg. He was 86 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 60 years, Nelta (Jetton) Sugg; a sister, Jan Paddock; and a great-granddaughter, Alianna Renee Mann.

Bill was retired from Rheem Manufacturing and an U.S. Army/Navy veteran. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27 th , at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, with Bro. Mark Weaver officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa McCurdy and husband Steve, Linda Mann and husband Rick and Lori Hines and husband Bill; five grandchildren, Kyle Mann, Spencer McCurdy, Alex Mann, Megan Hines Smith and husband (Weston) and Katie Hines; and one great-grandchild, Kya Mann.

Family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 on Monday evening at the funeral home in Charleston.
