William Joe "Bill" Finney, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born March 8, 1933, in Paris to the late Lum Columbus Finney and Addie E. (Parks) Finney. He was 82 years old. He was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Stapleton; two sisters; and four brothers.
Bill worked for the chicken processing plant in Bloomer for several years and he was a Christian.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18th, at Gray Rock Cemetery, located north of Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. Officiating the service will be Mr. Larry Oliver.
He is survived by four daughters, Billie Jean Bates of Subiaco, Olivia Ellingberg, Mary Jo Finney, and Beverly Finney, all of Paris; two sons, Coyle Ellingberg and Joe Ellingberg, both of Paris; four sisters, Wilma Oliver and husband Larry of Paris, Evelyn Thomas of New York, Katheryn Finney of California, and Ora Moore of Paris; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
