Wesley Allen "Dub" Smothers, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He was born March 11, 1959 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Edward Smothers and Martha Margie (Martin) Smothers. He was 56 years old. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, William, Joe, and Robert Smothers and an infant sister, Patsy Smothers.
Dub worked in the oil fields and was a mechanic.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 23rd, at Steep Hill Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by one sister, Jackie Hawkins of Dover; three brothers, Wayne Smothers and wife Connie of West Fork, Jimmy Smothers and wife Rhonda of Charleston, and Tommy Smothers and wife Terri of Lavaca; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews.
Family will visit with friends 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
