Roy Dwayne Martin, Sr., who resided near Cecil, Arkansas, died Wednesday, August  30, 2023, at his home. He was born on February 14, 1951, in Denver, Colorado, to the late Fred Martin and Rebecca Hobbs Martin. He was 72 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents;  his wife, Marilyn Sue Martin; a sister, Sherry Trotter; and a brother, Michael Botwright.

Wayne was a retired truck driver and broker and was owner and operator of Ar-can-sas Farm & Brokerage. He was a 1969 graduate of Lavaca High School and he had an Animal Science Degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2nd at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Jimmy Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Island Cemetery, located east of Lavaca on Hwy. 96, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by a daughter, Amanda Martin of Cecil; two sons, Wayne Martin, Jr. and wife Lavonda and Justin Martin, all of Cecil; (11) grandchildren; (1) great-grandson; and a special family friend, Jimmy Kelton.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Kelton, Bruce Pearson, Larry Pearson, Johnny Hobbs, Kenny Brown, and Keith Sutherland.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
