Wanda June Brown, who resided in Booneville, Arkansas, died Friday, May 14, 2021, at Oak Manor Nursing Home in Booneville. She was born April 29, 1948, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Hubert Monroe Carter, Sr. and Florence Marcella Taylor Carter. She was 73 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Kent Brown; a sister, Carol Baker; and three brothers, Hubert Carter, Jr., Johnny Carter, and Leroy Carter.

Wanda was a housekeeper for several years at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen McLean and husband William of Paris; two sons, Bobby Welling and wife Donna of California and Allen Welling of Arkansas; a brother, Larry Prater and wife Nancy of Arizona; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
