Walter Harold Schluterman of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Friday, June 7, 2024, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born on November 1, 1961, in Fort Smith to the late Leo Schluterman and Mathilda Kern Schluterman. He was 62 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Amy Williams Holmes Schluterman.

Wally had the biggest heart. He would always try to help in any way he could. Even with the worst of luck, he seemed to try to make the best out of every situation. He is resting peacefully with the love of his life, Amy.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 13th at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Cremation Services in Fort Smith. Officiating the service will be Deacon Mark Verkamp.

He is survived by his children, Heather Tarrant and husband Andy of Greenwood and Zachary Schluterman of Fort Smith; a sister, Cindy Walker and husband Rick of Fort Smith; five brothers, Ronnie Schluterman of Fort Smith, Bob Schluterman and wife Jennie of Bentonville, Tom Schluterman and wife Sharon of Nicut, Oklahoma, Jerry Schluterman and wife Brenda of Lavaca, and Jeff Schluterman and wife Amber of Bokoshe, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Hadlie Schluterman and Kailyn Tarrant.
