Wade Fredrick Herbert, who resided in Fort Smith, died Monday, December 23, 2019, in Fort Smith. He was born July 18, 1966, in Oneonta, New York, to the late Roy John Herbert Jr. and Lucille Rose (Brown-Herbert) Wilbur. He was 53 years old.

Wade was retired from Mid-South as a professional painter and concrete polisher, and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen (Claunts) Herbert of the home; three sons, Gary Shafer, Robert Herbert, and Johnny Herbert, all of Fort Smith; three step-children, Trista Richmond and husband Danny, Kelly Richmond and husband Markus, and Jerry Cox and wife Kristina; his step-father, Richard Wilbur of Fort Smith; one sister, Angel Wilbur of New York; five brothers, Jimmi Herbert and Jeff Herbert of Fort Smith, John Herbert of New York, Richard Wilbur, Jr. of Booneville, and Shawn Matice of New York; and eighteen grandchildren.
