Obituary
Virginia Skeets resided in Barling, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born April 1, 1938 in Lepanto, Arkansas to the late Elbert South and Eva Mae (Martin) South. She was 71 years old.
Virginia was a child care provider and was a member of the Central Free Will Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Skeets.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30th, at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be at the Hampton Cemetery, north of Branch, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
She is survived by a special daughter, Elisabeth Howard of Barling; four sisters, Diane McCollister & husband Sonny, of Crawfordsville, AR, Mary Howard of Barling, Fay Sparks of Vilonia, AR, and Kathleen West of Marion, AR; three brothers, Jimmy South of Lepanto, AR, Michael South of Hughes, AR, and Darryl South of Proctor, AR.
Family will visit with friends from 12:00 p.m. til 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
