Virgil Truman Odell, who resided near Spiro, Oklahoma, died Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on February 4, 1949, in Bokoshe, Oklahoma, to the late Lee Odell and Jesse (Huckaba) Odell. He was 74 years old.

Virgil worked in maintenance for Coleman Camping in Pocola and was an U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his companion, Mary Hooley of Spiro; two daughters, Catrina Walters of Bonanza, Arkansas, and Sabrina Cannon and husband Joe of Atkins, Arkansas; one sister, Sue Odell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
