Vestal McKamie, who resided near Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018, in Charleston. She was born April 11, 1922, in Paris, Arkansas to the late Benjamin Franklin Case and Sevilla Adline (Moore) Case. She was 95 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oswald Jim McKamie.
Vestal was a homemaker. She also worked several years at Greenhurst Nursing Home in Charleston, and she was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Charleston. Vestal was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Randy Moore and Rev. Greg Qualls officiating. Burial will be at Nixon Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Pardue of Greenwood; two sons, Jimmy McKamie of Charleston and Phillip McKamie and wife Tracey of Charleston; five grandchildren, Steve Berry, Sandy Berry, David McKamie and wife Hope, Jaquita Moore and husband Justin, and Jimmy McKamie and wife Cheryl; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Case, Justin Sampley, Justin Moore, Jason Case, Allen Case, and James Case.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
