Leland Thomas Reed, who resided near Lavaca, Arkansas, died Saturday, January 7, 2023, at his home. He was born on May 2, 1939, to the late Lester James Williams Reed and Lucy Mae (Masterson) Reed. He was 83 years old. He was preceded in death by a son, Dwayne Reed and a grandchild, Kierston Kopec.

Tommy was a truck driver for many years and retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Union Baptist Church. After his retirement, his most enjoyable job was driving for Stem Trucking.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 12th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will follow at Tate Cemetery under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be Bro. Don Bradford and Bro. Kyle Horton.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janice (Tate) Reed; one daughter, Tammie Fogo and husband Matt of Lavaca; two grandchildren, Andrea Kopec and Reed Kopec and wife Hannah; and two great-grandchildren, Kierstyn and Teagan.

Pallbearers are Justin Tate, Jamie Young, Gary Stem, Danny Gann, Greg McGuire, Ken Hartley, Reed Kopec, and Eddie Kopec.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Arkansas Alaskan Missions Fund, Union Baptist Church PO Box 850, Lavaca, Arkansas.
