Tommie Dean Friesen, who resided in Paris, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, in his home. He was born August 5, 1940, in Wichita, Kansas, to the late Richard Levi and Dixie (Wedill) Friesen. He was 81 years old.

Tommie was a retired radiologic technologist and was the first Walmart manager in Paris in 1978.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Fayetteville and also a member of First Baptist Church in Branch.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his wife Peggy (Dennis) Friesen of the home; one son, Michael Friesen and wife Michelle of Kenly, North Carolina; two daughters, Teri Haney of Ratcliff and Julie Womack and husband Mike of Paris; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
