Obituary

Tim passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 29, 2026, surrounded by family after battling cancer for over 12 years.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Vicky (House) Bynum; his children, Samantha Bynum of Rogers, Arkansas, Whitney Bynum of Paris, Arkansas, Jaymie Bynum of the home, Jay Bynum and wife Amber of Van Buren, Arkansas, Carlos Bynum and partner Ari of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Becca Bynum of the home, and Eloy, David, and Anthony Bynum; his grandchildren, Isabella, Logan, Alaina, Londynn, and Isaac; grand-cat, Thorbert (Thor) Dewayne Bynum, his siblings, Marie Flanary and husband Gaylon, Betina Hartsfield and husband Joe, and Larry Bynum and wife Shellie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Eva (Fowler) Bynum; and best cousin, Gary Carroll.

Tim was born May 8, 1959, in the territory of Hawaii. He worked along side his wife Vicky as a foster parent to numerous children at Turley Children's Home in Foyil, Oklahoma, and at the Southern Christian Home in Morrilton, Arkansas. He also worked in maintenance at Southern Christian Home. Tim enjoyed carpentry and building furniture and cabinets.

The family will visit with friends from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7th at Rena Road Church of Christ in Van Buren.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
