Terry Glenn Childers

Terry Glenn Childers of Lavaca, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on April 6, 1951, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Aubrey Lee Childers and Icie Lee (Barnes) Childers. He was 75 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Zera Clairece (Wright) Childers; two sons, Terry Lee Childers and Patrick Wayne Childers; a sister, Mildred Childers; and two brothers, Roy Childers and William Harold Childers.

For several years, Terry was owner & operator of TNT Insurance Services. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on Beaver Lake. He also loved deep sea fishing, and shooting pool with family and friends. He was a member of Victory Church  NWA in Tontitown and attended Lavaca First Baptist Church. He loved his family very much and will be missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15th at Parks Cemetery in Charleston, with Pastor Steven Smithson of Lavaca First Baptist Church officiating. All services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife, Gail (Stout) Brown Childers; a daughter, Felicia Owen and husband Tim of Lavaca; a son, Tommy Brown and wife Linda of Conway; a brother, Jerry Wayne Childers of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; and three grandchildren, Dylan Owen, Julia Owen and Noah Brown.

Pallbearers are Hugh Hardgrave, Blake Cook, Tommy Brown, Tim Owen, Dylan Owen, and Noah Brown.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13th at the funeral home. Public viewing will also be on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
