Teresa Ann Hood of Paris, Arkansas, died Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on October 22, 1968, in Ozark, Arkansas, to David Guerra and Virginia Ilene (Grijalva) Guerra. She was 53 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, David Guerra; a grandchild, Presley Rose Hood; a sister, Kim; a brother, Darrin Guerra; and her father-in-law, James S. Hood.

Teresa was a laundry attendant at Paris Health and Rehab Center and was a member of First Baptist Church in Branch. Teresa loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21st at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Pastor Tim Hobbs officiating. Burial of cremains will be placed at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith on Monday, May 23, 2022. All services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James D. Hood; a daughter, Donna Smith and husband Cole of Mountainburg; two sons, James Dewayne Hood, II and wife Kendra and Robert Hood and wife Ashley, all of Paris; her mother, Virginia Guerra of Dinuba, California; five sisters, Leta Obannon and husband Johnny of Roseburg, Oregon, Ilene Corter and husband Virgil of Dinuba, California, Tammy Tunnel and husband Brian of Florida, Nadine Somera and husband Albert of Visalia, California, and Ellie Turpin of Eugene, Oregon; three brothers, Rocky McGowan and wife Ronda of Roseburg, Oregon, Calvin Smith of Woodlake, California, and Trampus Smith of Dinuba, California; ten grandchildren; and her mother-in-law, Mellie Hood of Paris.
