Tammy Marie White of Cecil, Arkansas, died Monday, December 25, 2023, in Heart of Hospice Unit at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on October 5, 1961, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late William Edward Smothers, Sr. and Zona Marie (White) Smothers. She was 62 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary White; and a brother, David Smothers.

For several years, Tammy was co-owner and operator of the Cecil Store and Restaurant in Cecil and was a caregiver.

A family held "Celebration of Life" will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6th at the United Methodist Church in Cecil.

She is survived by her daughter, Meeka Harrison of Charleston; her son, Jason White of Cecil; three sisters, Debbie Smothers of Barling, Lynette McClendon and husband Cary of Lavaca, and Susie Smothers; one brother, William Smothers, Jr. of Miami, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren, Hunter, Lauren, Aubree, Addy, and Connor.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
