IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tammy Lynn
Phelan
November 10, 1959 – November 13, 2021
Tammy Lynn Phelan, 62, of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on November 10, 1959, in Poteau to the late Lennie DeLassus and Patricia (Wilson) Butler. Tammy was greeted at the pearly gates by her parents, grandchildren, Dillon, Daven, Easton, and baby Ritter, a sister, Victoria Delassus, and her father and mother-in-law, Ansel and Erma Phelan.
Tammy was a homemaker that loved to cook. She enjoyed making new meals from scratch. She loved spending her time at craft fairs with her dear friend Tillie. She would crochet in her spare time where she made sure to always make the new baby in the family a blanket to remember her by. She was a lover of Monopoly games and has collected many different ones over the years.
Tammy's wishes were to be cremated and for no funeral to be held. Instead, she wanted family and friends to come together for fellowship on Thursday, November 18th at 4:00 p.m. at the Shady Point Community Building in Shady Point, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her husband and the love of her life of 33 years, Ansel "Butch" Phelan, Jr.; one son, Chris Ritter and wife Carmelita of Wellston, Oklahoma; two daughters, Vickey Ramirez and husband Florentino of Heavener, Oklahoma, and Summer McCloud and fiance Damian Bates of Poteau; two sisters, Penny Smith and husband Greg of Poteau and Marty Holman of Fort Smith; (15) grandchildren, Bailey, Maraya, Avrilynn, Seth, Justin, Jacob, Cesar, Joel, Alex, ChoCho, Alexis, Braxton, Colten, Rhea, and Lillianna; her dog, Cooper; a life long friend, Schon Howk; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends that loved her unconditionally.
The family would like to thank the staff at EOMC ER, Ed Wemmerus and staff at EOMC Family Medical Clinic, and Mercy Hospital for your caring hearts and hands during Tammy's sickness.
