Stephen Joseph Gallagher of Alma, Arkansas, died Thursday, May 5, 2022, at his residence in Alma, Arkansas. He was born on May 9, 1956, at South Weymouth, Massachusetts, to Charles Francis Gallagher and Elizabeth Ann O'Brien Gallagher. He was almost 66 years old. Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Charles and eldest brother David C. Gallagher.

Stephen served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

He is survived by a son, Christopher Gallagher of Connecticut; a grandchild, Amber Rose; his mother, Elizabeth Ann Crandall of California; his long-time companion, Valeri Plum of California; four sisters, Jeanne Gallagher, Carol Cole, and Susan Briggs, all of Rhode Island, and Diane Davis of California; two brothers, Timothy Gallagher of Massachusetts and Sean Gallagher of California; and their mother, Mary E. Gallagher of California; numerous nieces and nephews.
