Obituary

Stella Mae Koerdt of Scranton, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Johnson County Regional Hospital in Clarksville, Arkansas. She was born on April 7, 1932, in Barling, Arkansas, to the late Albert Greb and Agnes (Williamson) Greb. She was 92 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edmund Koerdt; seven brothers; and four sisters.

Stella Mae was a homemaker, member of the Mother's Society, St. Ignatius Quilters, and member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton.

Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, August 19th at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, with Father John Miranda officiating.

Memorial mass service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20th at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, with Father John Miranda officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Morrison Bluff, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by a son, Jerry Koerdt and wife Phyllis of Scranton; three daughters, Betty Humphrey of Paris, Karen Bauer and husband Tony of Scranton and Margie McClure and husband Stephen of Prairie View; two sisters, Edna Shumway of Texas, and Susie Stovall of Paris; two brothers, Billy Don Powell of Heber Springs and Carl Powell of Paris; (10) grandchildren; (14) great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

Family will visit with friends at 5:30 p.m. before the Rosary.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
