Obituary

Sidney "Buck" Davis resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Fort Smith. He was born July 24, 1941 in Mansfield, Arkansas to the late Sidney McCannon Davis and Ella Mae (Bryant) Davis McCleary. He was 69 years old.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Sidney M. & Dona Davis.

Buck was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a horse trainer, and attended Life Church in Charleston.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 11th at Morris Cemetery in Bloomer, with Rev. Bill Van Meter and Rev. Terry Scott officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by five sisters, Debbie Griffis of Fort Smith, Gail James of Marshall, Texas, Nina Jackson of Greenville, North Carolina, Janet Stark of Atlanta, Texas, and Glenda Ingalls of Hot Springs; one brother, Gary Rowe of Hot Springs; best friend and brother of the heart, Kyle (Pook) Davis and wife Linda of Charleston; his godchildren, Heath Davis and wife Karen, Tammy Logsdon & husband Scott; five great godchildren, Tiffany Davis, Tyler Davis, Tara Childers & husband Jamie, and Gracelyn and Katie Logsdon; one aunt, Mildred Bingham of Charleston and one uncle, Glenn Davis of Fort Smith.

Pallbearers will be Gary Rowe, Heath Davis, Tyler Davis, Kenny Smith, Cecil Terry, and Bob Johnson.

Viewing will be beginning at 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
