Shirley June Young, who resided in Arkoma, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born October 27, 1945, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to the late Johnny and Oma Lee Ward Metzker. She was 75 years old.

Shirley was a retired LPN at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith for 34 years.

She is survived by her children, Vickie Lane, Tammy Stevens, Ricky Dupire, Jerry Jacobs and Alan Lane; two sisters, Barbara Dunn and Connie Keith; her brothers, Mike Mitzker, Eddie Mitzker and Danny Mitzker; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one special niece, Raelee Rodgers.
