Shirley Marie (Stewart) Meador, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. She was born on September 13, 1943, in Mena, Arkansas, to the late Archie Wesley Stewart and Helen (Blanton) Stewart. She was 80 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tony Meador; and a sister, Sue Piearcy.

Shirley was a homemaker most of her life but also worked for years as a waitress at the Spanish American restaurant in Paris, Arkansas.

She is survived by a daughter, Tonya Talkington and husband George of Charleston; a son, Parker Meador and wife Sharon of Charleston; a sister, Elda Jones of Searcy; a brother, Archie Stewart; and grandchildren, Molly and Adam Sneed, Gabrielle and Ellason Meador, Jesse and Jordan Meador and Jamie Summers.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
