Shirley J. Cross resided at Lavaca, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, August 15, 2008, in her home. She was born October 21, 1942 in Lavaca to the late Harlan "Dink" Graham and Vivian Smithson Graham. She was 65 years old. She was a homemaker, a 1961 graduate of Lavaca High School, member of the Red Hat Society, and a member of the Lavaca First Baptist Church, where she served and worked in the children's ministry around 50 years.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Lavaca, with the Rev. Tony Buchanan officiating. Burial will be at Oak Valley Cemetery, south of Lavaca.

She is survived by her husband; Danny Cross, of the home; three daughters, Jeanna McKee & husband Curtis, Janet Gibson & husband Bo, and Jo Cross, all of Lavaca; her mother, Vivian Graham Pence of Lavaca; four sisters, Selma Green, Elizabeth Noel, Ruth Burnett and Jennifer Stewart, all of Lavaca; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Justin & Cory Green, Jonathan & Benjamin Noel, Anthony & Daniel Burnett, and Josh Stewart.

Family visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
