Sherman Wilson Hicks, Jr.

Sherman Wilson Hicks, Jr. of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in his home. He was born October 3, 1961 in San Bernadino, California to Sherman Sr. and Catherine Marie (Ventura) Hicks. He was 64 years old. He is preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Marie Hicks and his mother-in-law, Barbara Born.

He was a musician by trade and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars on Grand Avenue. He served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Diana (Born) Hicks of the home; his father, Sherman Hicks, Sr and wife Mary of Hackett; three daughters, Carol Nordyke, Mollie Hicks and Laura Hicks; three sisters, Lucy Puniwai,Catherine Gourd and Kathleen; two brothers, Chuck Ventura and Tom Hicks; three grandchildren, P. J. Krudah, Cadence Nordyke, and Logan Nordyke.
