Shelia Cordelia Taylor of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Monday, July 17, 2023, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born on April 28, 1948, in Hope, Arkansas, to the late Rural Pittman and Myrtle Louise Hawthorne. She was 75 years old.

Shelia worked as a nurse's aide.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Walter Taylor; two sons, David Taylor and wife Andrea and Wayne Taylor and wife Jennifer, all of Fort Smith; two sisters, Agatha Ray and Marie Ray, both of Tuolumne, California; three brothers, David Ray, Allen Ray and Floyd Ray, all of Tuolumne, California; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
