Sheila Kay Geren, who resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at her home. She was born on August 2, 1950, in Fort Smith to the late Lloyd Eugene McFall and Bettye Sue (Williams) McFall. She was 72 years old. She was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Moon.
Sheila was a retired substitute schoolteacher for the Fort Smith Public School System and attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Fort Smith. Sheila was a member of the GFWC and Junior Civic League of Fort Smith. Also, she served on several committees and participated in several club fundraisers including the Red Stocking Review, A Night at the Race, Murder Mystery Dinners and Little Theatre Dark Nights. She volunteered with Bost, Inc. client events, and their annual fundraiser, Great Escapes. She was an amazing pastry chef and all-around great cook. She was always on the go and had a very giving heart. She went on a few canoeing adventures and fun excursions with her girls' night out events. She was a huge supporter of all things Northside Grizzly!
She is survived by her two sons, Bryce Freeman and wife Cyd of Fort Worth, Texas, and Regan Freeman and wife Sara of Fort Smith; her brother, David McFall and wife Linda of Catoosa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Nia Freeman, Reece Freeman, Tinsley Freeman, Sadey Cate Freeman, and Saylor Grayce Freeman,
Family memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29th at St. John's Episcopal Church in Fort Smith.
