Sharon Earlene Smith of Paris, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on October 13, 1965, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Jessie Dell Ward and Beth Anne (Dean) Ward Wurst. She was 58 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Ward.

Sharon was a retired 3rd and 4th grade school teacher at Paris Elementary School District. Sharon loved her family and her community very much, and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 26th at First Assembly of God in Paris. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. Officiating the service will be Pastor Darren Overton.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Mike Smith; a daughter, Sheena Smith of Paris; a son, Josh Smith of Paris; her mother, Beth Anne Wurst of Paris; a brother, Michael Ward and wife Christine of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren, Kaden Smith, Reese Smith, Jenna Smith, Kason Titsworth, and Mollie Titsworth, with one on the way.

Pallbearers are Josh Smith, Kaden Smith, Reese Smith, Austin Walker, Nick Hixson, and Michael Smith.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
