Sharon Kaye Mendenhall of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Fort Smith. She was born on February 12, 1947, in Fort Smith to the late John Dee Grubb and Hester Mae (Neuhart) Grubb. She was 77 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles D. Mendenhall; a sister, Debbie Crawford; and a brother, Charles Grubb.

For 30 plus years, Sharon was the cafeteria manager for Fort Smith Public Schools, and a member of Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

A private family graveside service will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston.

She is survived by her children, Sherrie Green of Van Buren, Chris Mendenhall of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Corey Mendenhall and wife Autumn of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Colton Mendenhall, Colby Green and Caden Mendenhall; and four great-grandchildren, Camille Mendenhall, Ivan Green, Tallen Green and Rhaena Green.

Pallbearers will be family members.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Charleston. Public viewing will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25th at the funeral home.
