Sharon Kay Lee, who resided in Paris, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Mercy Hospital, Fort Smith. She was born September 29, 1943, in Logan County near Paris, to the late Raymond Vaughan and Irene (Askins) Vaughan. She was 76 years old. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Boyd Lee; and a brother, Ernest Vaughan.
Sharon married Burl "Shorty" Lee on April 16, 1965. She was a retired seamstress, a housewife, a quiltmaker, and well known for making peanut brittle and cinnamon rolls. Sharon was a graduate of Paris High School and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Paris.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9th, at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, with Bro. Ricky White officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. Due to "COVID 19," we ask that everyone abides by the social distancing directive, and we appreciate your cooperation at this time.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Burl "Shorty" Lee; her daughter, Shawn Schluterman and husband Gerald of Subiaco; a sister, Thelma Spicer and husband Jim of Paris; a daughter-in-law, Connie Lee of Charleston; two grandsons, Austin Schluterman and Mason Schluterman, both of Subiaco; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and other beloved family and friends.
Pallbearers are Austin Schluterman, Mason Schluterman, Tim Vaughan, Anthony Vaughan, Derek Spicer, Tara Ezell, Stephanie Ceniceros and Noah Ceniceros.
Public viewing will begin on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
