Sharon Louise Hays, who resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born November 7, 1960, in Galveston, Texas to Kenneth Lavelle Eggleston and Margaret Belle (Gregory) Eggleston . She was 56 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Eggleston.

Sharon was a homemaker and she was a Jehovah's Witness.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 13th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be at Oak Valley Cemetery, located south of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Johnnie Lee Hays; three daughters, Susan Mendez and husband Pablo of Lavaca, Debbie Hays of Central City, and Tracy Hays of Lavaca; her mother, Margaret Gambill of Milo, Iowa; two sisters, Diana Morrow of Jacksonville, Texas and Debra Derr of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five brothers, Dale Eggleston of Palacios, Texas, Warren Eggleston of Athens, Texas, Clayton Eggleston of Kaufman, Texas, Royce Eggleston of Conroe, Texas, and Jeffrey Eggleston of Milo, Iowa; five grandchildren, Skylar Hays, Amaya Mendez, Malakai Mendez, Kaesha Mendez, and Alana Mendez.

Pallbearers will be Dale, Clayton, Royce, and Jeffrey Eggleston, Rocky Bounds and Malakai Mendez.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Warren Eggleston.

Family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
