Shannon Elizabeth Cozort, who resided in Barling, Arkansas, died Saturday, April 3, 2021, at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born October 14, 1969, in Orlando, Florida, to Jerry Woodard and Linda Grissom. She was 51 years old. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Weldon Smith.

Shannon worked as a cashier in different store locations in the area, and she served her country while being enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

She is survived by her children, Philip Cozort, III, Tuesdai Cozort and Lindee Cozort, all of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her father, Jerry Woodard and wife Norma of Tennessee; her mother, Linda Massey of Georgia; two sisters, Yvette Smith and Bonnie Hunt, both of Florida; two brothers, Calvin Smith and Billy Smith, both of Georgia; three grandchildren, Sophia, Thomas, and Leia.
