Obituary
Sammie Joe Underhill, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at North Logan Mercy Hospital in Paris. He was born April 25, 1938 in Roanoke, Texas to the late Edgar Thomas Underhill and Thelma Gertrude (Branom) Underhill. He was 73 years old.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Myrtle Ozell Tobey and one brother, Charles Underhill.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 26th at Tate Cemetery, located northwest of Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
Officiating the service will be Rev. Jimmy Ferrell.
He is survived by his wife, Margie (Williams) Underhill; one daughter, Hollie Jo Hamby and husband Steve of Athens, Tennessee; two sons, Steve Underhill and wife Brenda of Longview, Texas and Heath Underhill of Tyler, Texas; one step-daughter, Yvonna Sharum and husband Randy of Charleston; one brother, Travis Underhill of Argile, Texas; (17) grandchildren and (2) step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joey Case, Bill Rhinehart, Keith, Randy, and Ben Sharum, and Keith Curry.
