Mary Ruth Wood of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on her birthday, Monday, February 3, 2025, at Covington Court Health & Rehab Center in Fort Smith. She was born on February 3, 1961, in Verdun, France. She was 64 years old. As a small child, she was adopted by her parents and was preceded in death by her father and mother, John Noah Wood and Mary Lois (Gill) Wood.

Ruth was a retired travel agent.

She is survived by her close friend, Cathy Stotts of Van Buren, Arkansas.
