Ruth Ann Binz of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, at her home. She was born on November 30, 1945, in the Prairie View Community in Logan County to the late John Hatwig and Amelia (Kremers) Hatwig. She was 79 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Gilbert, Albert, Bob, Leo, and Bill; three sisters, Lucille, Mary and Delores; a son-in-law, Ricky Bates; and a grandson, Wyatt Binz.
Ruth Ann was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston. She loved her family very much and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21st at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston, with Deacon Mark Verkamp officiating.
Funeral mass service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 22nd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston, with Father Norman McFall and Father Jack Sidler officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Eddie Binz; her children, Roxanne Bates, Doug Binz and wife Tammy; Nanette Pullen and husband Darren, Dewayne Binz and wife Lori, Darrell Binz and wife Sharon, and Derrick Binz and wife Deanna; her grandchildren, Jacob Bates and wife DeShea, Blake Bates and wife Erica, Rustin Bates and wife Casidy, Jonathan Bohannan and wife Carrie, Scott Bohannan and wife Casey, Chase Binz and wife Abbi, Macy Binz and finace' Tyler, Logan Binz, Kylee Binz, Allie Binz, Brittany Clague and husband Scotty, Josh Edward and wife Wendy, Kanten Pullen, Kellsie Freshwater and husband Coy, and Rilee Edwards; and (18) great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Blake Bates, Rustin Bates, Jonathan Bohannan, Scott Bohannan, Chase Binz, and Logan Binz.
Honorary pallbearers are Macy Binz,, Kylee Binz and Allie Binz
