Obituary

Ruby Beatress (Brown) Fischer, who resided near Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 in Paris. She was born November 6, 1926 in Vesta, Arkansas to the late Joe Edward Brown and Eartra B. (Stubblefield) Brown. She was 87 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Larry" Fischer; seven brothers, Clayton, Roy, Loyd, Douglas, Homer, Ernie, and Paul Brown.

Ruby was a food server for over 20 years at Wyatt's Cafeteria in Fort Smith.

Funeral service will be rescheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, located north of Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald Dixon of Fort Smith and Dennis Agdeppa of California; one sister, Lou Vena Helms of Lavaca; two brothers, Neal Brown and Leon Brown, both of Lavaca; one granddaughter, Tonya (Dixon) Lickliter and husband Todd of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Helms, Steve Helms, Scott Brown, Jimmy Brown, Ray Little, Sam Little, Michael Shores, and Todd Lickliter.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
