Roy Lee Wilson, who resided near Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at his home. He was born on March 17, 1943, at Bollinger Hospital in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late Richard Carl Wilson and Edna Lee (Williams) Wilson. He was 83 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Phillip Andrew Wilson and Taylor Lee Fraley; a brother, Jim Wilson; a sister, Mary Embry; and his son-in-law, Alan Fraley.
For several years, Roy was a roofer and worked for Bond-Rite Roofing Company in Charleston and was co-owner of B&W Roofing Company. Later on in life, Roy was a forklift operator and retired from Whirlpool, Inc. in Fort Smith. His favorite past times were crappie fishing, catching catfish, and being outdoors. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 17th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Darren Overton officiating. The body will cremated following the service, with burial of cremains at Tate Cemetery at a later date.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nina (Crouch) Wilson; a daughter, Barbara Fraley of Van Buren; two sons, Eugene Wilson and wife Michelle of Branch and Phillip Wilson and wife Patricia of Lavaca; two brothers, Carl Wilson and wife Rhonda of Keota, Oklahoma, and Kennith Wilson and wife Shirley of Lavaca; a sister, Marilyn Bearden of Lavaca; (7) grandchildren, Hallie Powell and husband Wes of Caulksville, Lacey Hedges and husband Joe of Alma, Hunter Wilson and wife Kaitlyn of Paris, Jordan Wilson and wife Hannah of Charleston, Amanda Wilson of Ratcliff, Parker Fraley and wife Chelsea of Van Buren, and Kotter Fraley of Van Buren; and (19) great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
