Obituary

Roy Grady Williams, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, in Charleston. He was born on November 9, 1926, in the Union Community in Sebastian County to the late Jeff Williams and Virgie (White) Williams. He was 95 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Gail (Dorrough) Williams; a son, Randy Lee Williams; two brothers, Robert Williams and Wallace Williams; and four sisters, Grace Ann Corley, Audra Faye Harris, Beatrice Passmore, and Nellie Rietman.

Roy was a retired inspector for the Arkansas State Highway Department. He was an U.S. Navy WWII veteran, life member of the VFW and the American Legion.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Bro. Buddy Corbell officiating. Burial will follow, with military honors, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Brown and husband Jimmie of Charleston; a son, David Williams and wife Sharon of Fort Smith; a brother, Billy Williams and wife Karen of Lavaca; two sisters, Mary Sexton of Barling and Linda Case and husband Ronnie of the Ursula Community; (8) grandchildren, (17) great-grandchildren, and (2) great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Andrew Williams, Hayden Pittman, Tyton Jones, Randall Pittman, Jamie Jones, and Robert Bowers.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
