IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roy Sherman
Brown Jr.
November 24, 1965 – June 27, 2025
Roy Sherman Brown, Jr. of Lavaca, Arkansas, died Friday, June 27, 2025, at his home. He was born on November 24, 1965, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Roy Sherman Brown, Sr. and Billie (Frame) Brown. He was 59 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, and his first wife, Lynnette Dawn Brown.
Roy grew up with a deep love for skateboarding, rock music, and unforgettable rides on the back of his mom's motorcycle. That adventurous spirit stayed with him throughout his life. As an adult, Roy found joy in the great outdoors—fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle whenever he could. He had a talent for fixing things, that he learned from his stepfather Phil, working on motorcycles cohesively without a word, earning him the affectionate title of "Mr. Fix It" among friends and family. But more than anything, Roy will be remembered for his sense of humor and the way he could always bring a smile to those around him. His laughter, kindness, love for cooking and unique spark will be missed dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 5th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Cremation and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Scarbrough) Brown; his mother, Billie Fleming and husband Phil of Lavaca; his children, Steven Loya and wife Stephanie of Fort Smith, Jolene Loya of Fort Smith, and Breanna Scarbrough of the home; six grandchildren, Arilynn, Carter, Jensen, Sawyer, Weston, and Isabella.
